Entrance Fee is S$5

Inside you see many big buddhas and plenty of amulets, all in all, 3 storeys of them, big and small figurines.

What caught my eye was the 2 Feet tall Naga just near the main entrance. Its a rare and beautiful sight.

Re: Thai Amulets...

My Opinion of the Famous Phra Khun Paen & Kuman Thong

This is the RARE COLLECTORS' Set of 12 Amulets, Thailand's most FAMOUS Phra Khun Paen Amulets for Gambling Luck, Sixth Sense and Opposite Sex attraction!!

Out of traditional Buddhist Amulets in Thailand, the Phra Khun Paen Amulets stand out as exquisitely for the favor of the young. Khun Paen Amulets are much described among the Thai men for super attraction power over opposite sex and the Sixth Sense for protection over bodily harms and unbeatable Luck for Gambling.

It is always mentioned that a Thai woman will instantly cast jealousy and suspicion if she found out that her boy friend has ONE Khun Paen Amulet as his personal possession. Be very careful because this set is complete 12 distinct Khun Paen icons!!!

The Story and icons of Phra Khun Paen, 17 Century Soldier, Gambler and Playboy of Suphan Buri, Central Thailand

Phra Khun Paen Buddha Image (Left most image in first Picture)

Out of 12 icons of Amulets, termed as Phra Khun Paen Images, only Two images carry the image of Lord Buddha. The image of Single Buddha seated under the pointed Gables in Winning of Mara Position or seated with his right hand touching the ground. This single Buddha image is the image that Khun Paen had made and distributed in his later life to clean the sins of his lurid, luxurious and abundant life of wars, gambling and women.

However this image of Buddha under the pointed gable is considered as having powers to maintain one's official position, as through out his life Khun Paen has never lost the favor of the King. This image is shown as the left most images in the first picture of three amulets.

Size: 4.9 cm H x 2.8 cm W (Pointed rectangular)

Phra Khun Paen with Fighting Cocks (Middle Left image in first Picture)

Image of Khun Paen seated underneath Pointed gable and holding Fighting cock (s) in his hand. This image has two versions, some images with only one cock in his left hand while some are two cocks. This image is collected for Gambling Luck.

Size: 4.9 cm H x 2.7 cm W (Pointed rectangular)

Phra Khun Paen inspecting Market (Middle Right image in first Picture)

Rounded rectangular image of Khun Paen holding an umbrella and inspecting the Market. As a high-ranking soldier in the Army of the King, Khun Paen was given right for managing and taxation of commercial zones in the province of Suphanburi. This amulet is generally collected for luck in commerce.

Size: 5.9 cm H x 2.8 cm W (Rounded rectangular)

Phra Khun Paen in pairs or "Together Forever" Amulet (Right most image in the first Picture)

This image is strange in styling as two Buddha images underneath pointed Gables are combined as pair. This amulet is made of baked red clay and censecreated and distributed by Wat Phai Arun Temple of Ung-thong.

This image is suppose to be given to the lover of the Phra Khun Paen Amulet wearer meaning for happly together of two persons in same behaviors having complete harmonious lives for ever.

In my initial findings, this image is not included in the set. However after the advices of the experienced collectors, this image is added to make the 12th image to the existing 11 images produced and distributed by Wat Phra Sri Temple.

Size: 3 cm H x 4 cm W (Two combined Pointed rectangular images)

Phra Khun Paen holding Kuman Thong looking at Cock fight (Left most image in second Picture)

Kuman Thong means "Master Gold" in Thai. Kuman Thong is Phra Khun Paen's most favorite son. He carried him every where. In this picture, Phra Khun Paen and his son enjoying the Cock Fight under the pointed gable. This image is mostly collected for fertility (to conceive a son), gambling luck and family harmony.

Size: 5.2 cm H x 2.7 cm W (Pointed rectangular)

Phra Khun Paen praying over Kuman Thong's Body (Middle left image in second Picture)

Kuman Thong died at very young age. Phra Khun Paen in great grief, prayed for the boy's spirit be with him at all times. It is said that the boy's spirit is with his father at all times after Phra Khun Paen?s wish made. The boy?s spirit supported his father with a profound sixth sense, enabling him for more winnings at gambling and cock fights, prevention of harm and danger in the war and attraction for many women.

The Kuman thong images are well collected for its sixth sense protection, against harm, gambling luck and opposite sex attraction.

Size: 4.9 cm H x 2.8 cm W (Pointed rectangular)

Phra Khun Paen and Kuman Thong Spirit riding over Skeleton (Middle right image in second Picture)

It was told that Kuman Thong Spirit has powerful influence over many lesser spirits. Phra Khun Paen had taken the advantage of the Kuman thong spirit by commending over the army of dead during his many fighting against Burmese enemy.

In this image, Phra Khun Paen holding a knife in his right hand while holding Kuman thong in his left, riding a dead spirit. This image is collected for sixth sense and for protection of body harm and fire arm.

Size: 4.9 cm H x 2.9 cm W (Pointed rectangular)

Phra Khun Paen and Kuman Thong Spirit riding over Three Skeletons (Right most image in second Picture)

It was told that Kuman Thong Spirit has powerful influence over many lesser spirits. Phra Khun Paen had taken the advantage of the Kuman thong spirit by commending over the army of dead during his many fighting against Burmese enemy.

In this image, Phra Khun Paen holding a knife in his right hand while holding Kuman thong in his left, riding three dead spirits representing his army of dead. This image is collected for sixth sense and for protection of body harm and fire arm.

Size: 5.2 cm H x 2.9 cm W (Pointed rectangular)

Phra Khun Paen taking Nang Wan to the War (Left most image in third Picture)

Nang Wan or "Ms. Sweet" is the Khun Paen's most favorite girlfriend/ wife. He is so fond of her that when he went for war, he brought her to the front with him. In this Amulet, Khun Paen holding Nang Wan riding on a horse. This amulet is collected for sexual attraction.

Size: 4.8 cm H x 2.9 cm W (Curved triangular)

Phra Khun Paen and Nang Wan or Khun Paen with one wife (Center left image in third Picture)

Nang Wang is depicted as the sexiest lady of Suphan Buri in 13 Century. In this amulet, seated Khun Paen put Nang Wan on his laps. This amulet is collected for sexual attraction and lustful married life.

Size: 5 cm H x 3 cm W (Pointed rectangular)

Khun Paen with two wives (Center right image in third Picture)

Apart from Nang Wan, Khun Paen enjoyed a lustful life with many other ladies. In this Amulet, Khun Paen and Kuman Thong underneath the pointed gable are embraced by two ladies and enjoying the cock fight. This amulet is collected for sexual attraction and lustful polygamous life.

Size: 4.6 cm H x 2.5 cm W (Pointed rectangular)

Khun Paen with three voluptuous wives (Right most image in third Picture)

In this Amulet, Khun Paen underneath the pointed gable are embraced by three very voluptuous ladies and enjoying the cock fight. This amulet is collected for sexual attraction and lustful polygamous life.

Size: 4.7 cm H x 2.7 cm W (Pointed rectangular)

Note on Phra Khun Paen Icons

Phra Khun Paen images stand out in regular Buddhist Amulets in Thailand, because only Two images in this 12 set carried the images of Buddha. All remaining 10 Amulets are images of Khun Paen himself, depicting some moments in his life. Stories of Khun Paen can be found in Thai literature, as short poems and stories.

However many temples in the central area of Thailand produces Phra Khun Paen amulets as their followers adore them and most temple produced them to meet popular demand among the young. After drying the baked lime tablets, Amulets went through blessing retrials by the monks citing Buddhist sermons. However, as most amulets do not contain the image of Buddha, the final "Anakazar" rite citing the Buddha's utmost enlightenment is not performed over those amulets.

I guess it is important not to believe so much in the stories, as stories are always changing and adapted to suit man's requirements that they have lost half of their truth by the time they get around.=P

Re: Thai Amulets...

Hi bros is regards to the Tiong Bahru Plaza exhibition on 28 Oct, it is under a feng shui exhibition. The FLS simianfo will be part of the exhibiters. The rest i dunno. Cos not much info from the paper. According to the paper, think they r promoting the lastest n hottest stuff in thailand now, Jatukam. They hv a few pics n 1 cloth-type jatukam for putting at home to ward off any calamities. But they also got offer other amulets. They got provide other services there also. They also say some stuffs will be selling at discounted price also.

All the above is wat i read n i translate. Hope this helps. Btw no timing indicated. And wat other companies involved also not mention. Cos this ad was put up by FLS SIMIANFO. Can go web check also. Later i will go look see also. www.flssimianfo.com.sg. So bros here we can cheong there for the next ten days. maybe can arrange to meet there.

Cheers
