Ok let me briefy explain how a normal foreigner applies for student visa to study in SG.

Assume she is interested to study English in XXX center, this center must be registered and approved by MOE.

The center will require her to fill in various forms and requests some doc from her, which she can photocopy from the orginal, translate to English and certified by SG authority in Vietnam and send them to the center. Normally she can approach an agent in Vietnam to help her with all these but if she decides to come SG to do all the admin, the center can assist in applying a temp visa for her.

These are the doc needed which I can remember,

1) School cert if any.
2) Guarantor. School or local person can guarantee for her, there is a sum of amount to be guarantee.
3) Latest bank account statement. In the bank, there must be a sum of money and account name must be hers.
4) Fill in the form for student pass application.


It will takes weeks before the visa is approved. If not approve, the center can appeal and it will take another few more weeks for the outcome. If her visa has expires, the center can again assist her with the extension of visa or she can go back to Vietnam to wait for the result. Once approved, she needs to pay the course fee and rwill eceive the student pass to come SG.

With the above, you can slowly realise whether is she telling the truth of wanting to study in SG.
