well, unlike some other fella here, my knowledge & understanding of thailand is not limited to GL, GM, BKK and/or hatyai hotspots. and i do have thai peers that i cross reference with & gain insight for my curiosity...etc.

about the SGD4-6k can afford decent 2nd hand car is valid. you of all people should've witnessed or heard of.

Well, this will have to depend on ur defination of "reasonable" and "decent" already. Don't come and tell me what "the bomb" again...
SGD$6 k is only around 144,000THB. So far, I only seen pickups worth this amount.... and its more than 5 yrs old up. I don't consider it "reasonable" too... of cos to be fair to u, I've seen Honda Civic the old 2 door kind selling at 200,000THB but that one more than 10 years car right? I won't buy too cos I'll probably be paying more for its maintenance and after repairs.

The point is, i suan u this cos u like to call people frog living in well, but i see u always saying "my Thai peers tell me this, my Thai peers tell me that". How much real knowledge about Thailand do u actually know?

BKK does not represent all of thailand leh... i say can afford 1 with SGD4-6K in LOS, doesnt mean all of thailand leh...
