Liverpool's defender Arbeloa is eager to return to Spain as he does not intend to suffer a paycut Several others are set to follow his example
I hope the Liverpool team that was assembled by Benitez dun start falling apart
It is a big problem but the problem applies to all teams in England, not just us. I don't think that's Arbeloa's reason to return to Spain. Reason being he has only 1 year left on his contract. The 50% tax comes into effect in April next year. Arbeloa will only be paying 50% taxes for April and May, not that big a factor to leave I suppose.

Who knows? The working relation between Carragher and Arbeloa might have worsen till a stage where he feels he needs to leave. If I recall, Arbeloa didn't play in our last match.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

and our first signing is...

Quote:
Liverpool have completed the signing of 15-year-old Jesus Joaquin Fernandez from Cadiz, according to one Spanish newspaper.

The Reds are said to have beaten off competition from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Villarreal for the midfielder's services.

After a significant amount of time negotiating the deal the player's family have finally accepted Liverpool's offer.

Cadiz, currently in Spain's second division, are also said to be happy with the transfer after they were handsomely rewarded in terms of compensation.

The youngster is thought to have signed a five-year contract on Merseyside, according to the newspaper Diario de Cadiz.

The teenage sensation is a left-footed player and is thought to possess an innate footballing brain.

Honestly i doubt the sales would be very helpful to our team. 1st, all these owners are all in ultimately for what reason? To make money for their own coffers. Usually they are not so passionate with the local supporters, and overseas fans. Many of us which watch the teams since long ago.
So this sales could be just to make a profit on the NHL team in this crisis time? 2nd possiblity would that they need some funds (to show their bank)to continue to get the loan as well.

Of course lets hope its really for the better being for the club as well. Actually if we get a bigger stadium and players, and win lots of trophies. Definitely LFC will make more revenue and ultimately more profits.
Then the owners will make more $$$ as well. But in the 1st place, they need to pump in alot of $$$ lah.

Just a side note, but perhaps GIC should invest in LFC. Anyway in the recent downturn, they easily suffered losses of 400 - 900M $$ then we will get liverpool SG tour every year.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Mascherano is good but any bro notice he had 1 major problem
Tat is he like to argue to the ref and keep pestering the ref to show yellow/red card to the counterpart player n cos of tat he been sent off by the ref n result liverpool short of 1 player in the field n suffer 1 of the worst defeat against Man U
Not forget he is so silly by kicking the ball away n getting 2nd yellow card - resulting suspended in the 2nd round CL against Chelsa so Bentiez had no choice but to fill Lucas ( plus Stevie injury not recover ) ended 4-4 and knock out of CL
Don get me wrong tat i want him to leave but if he's heart is not wz the team then i doubts he can play with his best 100%

Reds sign King of Diamonds
Mon 22 Jun, 05:23 PM

Liverpool have completed the capture of teenage striker Aaron King from Rushden and Diamonds.

King, 16, impressed during a recent trial period with the Anfield giants and has now signed a two-year scholarship agreement.

"We are all absolutely thrilled for Aaron - this is a brilliant achievement for everyone involved in his development throughout the five years that he has been with us," Rushden's head of youth development Paul Driver told the club's official website.

We got the right back..... We got the striker...... Are these the 2 "quality" signings that Boss Rafa was saying that day?

Glad 2 see tat England right-back Glen Johnson is heading 2 Liverpool fr Portsmouth.
But I would hate 2 see tat Johnson's arrival would be the departure of Alvaro Arbeloa 2 real madrid.
They shld be reinforcing ..... not not buy 2 replace.

Maybe the real reason is Arbeloa really want to go back to Spain and with his contract running soon, Rafa need to cash in before he goes for free...

Now that we secure GJ, I believe we will soon see news of Arbeloa leaving..
