out of my experience, i only get indo chinese when doing pickups @clubs or FL through word of mouth. if u wanna visit a place and find the indochinese, ive never heard of this place. i visited one in medan last year.

i heard there was once a twitter boom of these freelancers but it died.

but yeah better luck finding russians and koreans.

have only started reading through the Jakarta forum since this morning, and I already know that this question has been answered hundreds, if not thousand times, by the posters here.

spend half an hour going over this thread and the old Jakarta thread yourself.

ive done it, and im simply amazed by the amount of info people managed to bring together over the years.

will be in Jakarta for work from July 11th to 16th (first visit).

have only mongered in KL before, so Im very excited for this one.

will be staying at Yello Hotel Harmoni (fantastic reviews on Agoda.com).

planning to hit as many places I can, to sniff out places that are the "best fit" for me.

im relatively young, and have little experience with lady drinks, so will try to focus on spas. some places im definitely dropping by:

Classic Terminal
- just very curious about this place!

Emporium Spa
- intrigued after reading a fantastic FR on this thread.
- keen to try out the VIP girls there
- as place is run by the Alexis group, I wonder how the quality compares between the two places.

Illigals Spa
- heard the club here is dead, but the spa facilities seem nice.
- plus, the cost of a normal girl, about 800k seems reasonable compared to other more extravagant spas.
- they have special theme girls (bases on official instagram posts), about 1.0-1.2mn. quite curious about thia too!

Malioboro
- just across my hotel.
- quite scared to go to Malio Club, as my inexperience means i will probably be swamped by lady drinks... maybe I will quickly pick one of the couch girls and get the hell outta there.
- heard Malioboro Spa is NOT value for money? will have to see the girls' quality for myself.

King Cross
- bit far, but heard it is incredibly value for money. ~800k for locals.
- i also hear the dancers can be had for 1.5mn ish. keen to find out.

Sumo Spa
- 800k for 2 girls...? need to experience this myself.
- also, the dancers here can be taken for around 1.0mn, I gather. will be good value, if quality is there.


still unsure about Alexis and The Pool. im sure the standard over there is great, but would it be SO MUCH ABOVE the other places to justify the significant extra outlay? Will probably stick with Empo, if quality can be found there, since its cheaper and closer.

also iffy on V2 Spa. very little info to be found online, but extremely close to my hotel. maybe i will bite the bullet and explore it myself.


i will report back on my experiences after each day. hopefully, they will prove useful to someone haha.

b. oh, and as mentioned above, i am completely new to the dance club / strip show scene. so how does 'taking a dancer' work? if i am quoted 1.5mn for a dancer, in addition to the tips i pay, do i need to buy additional lady drinks (on top of the 1.5m) can i just march into a dance club, pick a dancer i like, and boom, thats it?

if so, ill also considering places like Tease (1.8mn), Malio Spa (1.7m, 2.0m) and Malio Club (3.3m).

Your hotel has a bar, you could there try your luck. if not you could try Shanglia hotel and at the basement have a bar BATS lots of stock there.

You remind me of myself on my first jkt trip, did lots of research, not much practical experience, relatively young,lots of bullets, haha...

A few bros like the fact that you have done so much research... I'm sure you have read a few of mine... Haha

Your timing is great, as some bros planning weekend trip overlapping with yours, smallplayer bro already requested permission for you to join the wechat grp

My suggestion to you is to try one high and low end experience, to determine your own price / quality level.

High end spa : Sun City, Alexis
Lower end : classic, sumo (as you have read, it's a must go anyway, haha)

As for ladies drinks, you have to be firm and say no, I'm not very good at this myself, especially if I get drunk. Don't let it prevent you from going to the clubs, as they are nothing like strip clubs anywhere else in the world.. Again do a high/low end

High :Malio, KC
Low :classic, diamond

Emporium was great early last year, since it's got more expensive, you could still try it out, as it is not far

Tbh, I prefer CJs. Nicer atmosphere and imho, younger girls. CJs is best on Wednesday night cos ladies get in for free, therefore more stock for you to choose from.
