ah-hia DNAT, very true to some extent. nevertheless, though not to that extreme, its indeed true that alota SG gals now abiding by that motto: "... grow-up can marry a rich man and lead a comfortable life", in their years of upbringing - hypothetically, during the late 70's and early 80's era

bobian leh, nowsadays, thanx to all the herworld, woman's, nuyou, cosmopolitan...etc magazines, the gals who get their dressing tips in there, happen to learn how to raise their standards liao. many magazine variety shows on tv, teach them how to 'hiao' - in turn also boost their ego(noses) sky high, so for those of us who try to/cant keep up... sigh... good try, but try harder lor.

all the fine wining and dining variety also teach them how to act class, when in fact the gals also not truly gourmet testers/critics. frankly, i doubt their tastebuds can tell the difference between gourmet food and the 煮炒 at kopitiams also lah. drink wine maciam connoisseur, but deep inside thinking ribena cheaper and taste better, drink perrier water as if drinking 白花蛇草水 (but at several times the price). all for the simplest reasons... want to act class.

alot of 阿老 cash rich, drive mercedes big big, rolex gold shining also at times fail to attract our SG gals. you'd be surprised, sometimes, even yandao kia wear G2000/ topman/ zara formal wear - maciam executive look also disgust them ah.

Seems to me that they often spell their terms quite clearly by their actions. Noticeable criteria as follows:

- Yandao/ athletic body (or both)
- rich/ generous spending (or both)
- got nice car/ house (or both)
- party animal
- mature mentality
- protective, not possessive
- liberal, not casual
- manly/ sensitive towards her (or both)
- in control but under her control
- etc etc.

from certain perspectives, wouldnt you agree that (more and more of) our SG gals 自相矛盾?

Man has been the main provider of a household since the cave-man age so its very natural for gals to seek better comfort level thru marriage .. even till today.

Many Ang Mo guys came to asia cos they getting annoyed with their ang mo gals... Asia gals snapped these up... look asia guys no up..

Within asia.. sg guys go thailand/indo/vietnam cos they also can not tahan their sg gals... gals from these countries snapped them up...

Soon or later, thai guys go where??...bangela??

As time goes by, Ang mo gal soon no body want ...they go asia...maybe thai/bali/etc as guys treated them like gems...

As time passed , sg gals also no body wanted...

just a short scenario (based on a true event); SG guy going out on a date with his SG gf, all dressed up, take taxi to her place to fetch her.. went up to knock door (knn, maciam fetch 新娘）, all smiles...etc. she open the door, scream at 1st sight, command him to go home change his clothes, cos the colors dont match her dressing. sigh... anti-climax

IMHO: since he already at her doorstep, makes perfect sense for her to change instead of him. agree??

transpose that to context of puying thai, i doubt she'd perform any of the above-mentioned rituals. 1 thing's for sure... knn, whichever 'robert' got the kind of cash to go fetch her at her residence in a cab.... already score points liao. (whereas our local gals probably would say: its only right mah... 你是男人 leh)
