Talk about olden days of VCR. I found my father's stash of BLUE TAPES. Younger guys probably think it's coloured blue. Did all my planning just in case anyone comes home. Latch the door. Practise a swift recovery and how to keep things fast. Real rehearsals ok? Take out a normal tape and put with the stash of blue tape so that I can just eject the tape and slot it into an already available empty tape cover. Everything that I can think of, I made preparations.

So every possible cock-up angle covered right? Nah bei... When I was watching the show, Singapore went into a 10 plus hour blackout. Remember the 80s where the blackout lasted till late at night? Blackout means no power. No power means the VCR cannot eject the tape. Cannot eject the tape then how to keep the blue tape back right?

End up panicked... Got to do problem solving. Used a screw-driver to unscrew top of VCR. Piece by piece unscrew to remove the tape. Then piece by piece screw back. VCR of course after that ends up spoilt. Acting blur in front of parents on how come VCR is spoilt is better than getting caught watching Blue Tape.
