There's no point in posting about the raids as the frequency of the raids now is such that one bar will be raided every other day. Last night the Nasty Duck was raided but it was surprise that they needed 2 jeepneys to bring back the girls as this bar usually has only 4-5 girls working for them. Where did the rest of the girls come from in yesterday's raid? This is a question that is hotly discussion topic now in AC.

The raid on the Nasty Duck was indeed strange. The manager who happens to be a good friend of mine was telling us this morning that for the past few days they had no customers. On Friday they had just 1 customer who was there from 7-10pm, he did not interact with the girls or staff but just drank on his own. This bar has only 6 full time dancers, a mamasan and 2 waitress. But the next day, a bunch of local girls turned up shortly after the bar opened for business, ordered drinks as customers and about 2 hours later, the raiding party came in, took everyone back in 2 jeepneys and are accusing the Nasty Duck of employing unlicensed girls.....lol

The VIP lounge at the airport has reopened. Its now 800peso for the refreshment, drinks and smoke in the lounge. However they have opened up another smaller room just for smoking and drinks at 300peso (or 400peso cannot remember clearly). still, they will confiscate your lighter at the checking gantry thou.

yo bro, I visited the smoking lounge during my last trip. is 300php only free flow of drinks there.. dun worry if they confiscated ur lighter as each table in the smoking lounge is attached with a lighter lol...

The VIP lounge of DMIA seems to be 400PHP before 7pm, there's some juice, coffee and cakes. After 7pm it's 200PHP, only juice and coffee.

If this turns out to be the case then they were set up from the start to justify a raid. The local girls were hired to set everyone up so could extort the bar. If this tactic spreads then all bars are in trouble.
Depending on the "cost of release for everyone" this bar may have seen the end or will survive just a little longer as it was never a big money maker to begin with

The owner is still in custody at the moment. I respect him for being a standup guy. He went inside so that all those detained could be released and return to their families. The dancers and staff of Nasty Duck all have young children and babies at home depending on them.

I've lost touch with AC as haven't been there for over a year. Am going AC this coming July (Hari Raya period).

Will appreciate senior AC samsters' advice whether the bar fine/ewr system is still in practice? As I read in some of the recent posts here there seems to be some changes.

just returned from Angeles. Mostly still the same. Takeout rates still range PHP2K - 2.5K

Everyone in a jolly mood after their National Hero won the bout in US.

ups and downs in Casino Pacgor as usual. Almost got mugged though by kids, few of them grabbed my arm and one reach for my pocket. Made a quick dash and survived.

Mostly very quiet, I felt most of the crowd was concentrated in Atlantis and Club Asia in Fields.

Enjoyed my time in regular Champagne haunt. All those double LDs, ended with PHP6K bill.

....left my soul there. Should have stayed for holy week

I just have to post this piece of disturbing news despite of requests from my AC business acquaintances to keep it quiet.

Two nights ago on Thursday night..... there was a raid on Sisters bar in Walking Street. This time the raiding party were CIDG / PNP from Manila and included the NBI & IJM personnel....... what was different about this raid was that the raiders brought back EVERYONE found inside the bar INCLUDING the CUSTOMERS to Camp Crane in Manila..... 3 Angmos + 2 Koreans + 2 Japanese
As of now...... all of them are still in custody in Camp Crane.

It seems like the rules of the game has changed in AC.
Customers are no longer guaranteed safety and WILL be arrested along with the bar girls and staff in a raid.

I was in AC last week for a 2 night business trip but that was shorten to 1 night after 1 phone call from colleague to ask me to head straight to Pontianak for a meeting. I went to Toa as suggested by another samster and it felt like the mini version of Atlantis but a bit of lower class.. after checking a few bars, we settle to our old haunt, Atlantis. I must said the quality of the gal in Atlantis has went down so drastic that it does not interest me to stay there very long... I guess I would need to watch porn movies in my next visits..
