Bro SRT,
Thanks for info/opinion. Not in the "class" of some others listed here both location/patrons-wise. When I 1st started sampling Bkk nightlife 2 years back, puying from one Suk soi 33 dead artist bar brought me 1st to some pub called "Relax" for eats/drinks at other end Suk 101 --> then to Palm Springs at other end krung thep (gave me a bj in longish cab ride along expressway!).

Guess one finds own league you are comfortable with, like chilling out.. Sorry this is not worthy of thread here -was just looking for info/directions.

not that its "not worthy" to visit lah... I jus feel its kinda out of place for most people here who'll be staying in the central area.... u might've think its "near" because u were enjoying urself in the cab mah!
I really think that place is call "Prachachoen".... or maybe u can try "Klong Pa Pa" cos its beside this reservoir river.....
If I stay near there, I guess I'll be there every night for dinner and listen to the live band.... its still a good place to chill out.... a plate of rice with side dish is probably less than 100THB..... food at Palm Spring and Sugar Beat is not bad... but I prefer Sugar Beat. There're quite a number of other restaurants along that stretch of road too.... and a newly open club or something.. jus between Palm Spring and Sugar Beat....

Bro SRT,
Thanks, just to digress a bit from this thread (I'm not disco type, I had then passed Hollywood for Palm Springs). More into pubs with live music.. As you seem to be the Bkk guru for nightspots, will appreciate your advice as to some options to go with puyings (not limited to my tirak he555).

Been to Coliseum (now sucks with same boring shows), Tawandeng brewery(reasonable priced eats + whisky bottle + great beer, last time HSBC credit card -10% discount. But bookings a must with capacity crowds), former Brew Pavilion (now resurfaced as Pump Up, not been there since), Xantika (beautiful people, going to gents basement is a pain as sardine packed on Fridays), also Sam Lueng (bad spelling, since closed near Thonglor).

My tirak and me on 2 occasions tried to checkout see any interesting place with live band on 2 sunday evenings in Thonglor and Ekkamai. Realised Sunday nights are dead. After fruitless taxi ride, ended up emptying out our duty free Swing in hotel, listening to thai FM stereo (great non stop music). Any place t recommend -recall somewhere there are some outdoor alfresco places with eats and live music. Would not mind Ratchada, as usually stay at Petburi Center Point (opp Pantip). Thanks mak2

Personally, I think only 2 pubs in Ratchadar Soi 4 can make it which are Snoop and Rad.... other than that, ya, ur friend is right... jus stick to RCA and Sukhumvit (Ekkamai/Thonglor)....

If u jus wanna enjoy light live music... no dancing... u can try Bangkok Taley Restaurant ... its along Rama 9 Road.
Or another restaurant "YES INDEED" at Kasert Ngam Wong Min.... its got good live band and nice food. Some pop dancing music too so ur tirak can rub her body on u after some beer... In fact, lotsa nice restaurants along Kasert Ngam Wong Min..... and there's "Immortal" too. My friend says there're Coyote girls there but last time I went, I didn't see any.... check out Kasert Ngam Wong Min then.

Re: Top Disco in Bangkok?

I was in BKK over the weekend, unfortunately i reached BKK rather late , reached hotel nearly at midnight, thus runnig out of options,

Then suddenly My friend turned up with another friend at 1.30 AM plus ask if wanna go Drink some more, Ended up in Petchburi road , "union" cafe/pub place with loud music serving more Strong alcohol and Loud music in a cafe envronment, Dont think its too underground as it's on the ground floor.

The clientiele are mostly , after hours crowd ( Maybe AGG, /MP WLs) + KTV chicks or simply disco goers that want to get drunk and high, Basically Thai versions of ah lians and Ah Bengs. We ordered some really shitty Thai Whisky ( cos I was on a bugdet and wanted to try something new) I regretted it soon as I downed several challenged of "Muut Keaws" from some of my friend's rather babelicious Friends..but within 15-20 Mins I was a goner and felt damn high, the taste of their cheap whisky , tasted Like some Industrial paint remover/cleaning fluid., I got High real quick!!!

It was still bearable that same night, But the worse part came the next morning and afternoon. got myself the MOTHER of ALL hangovers!!! that lasted almost till the early evening , nonetherless, if anyone is game to try that place out for after 2AM drinking and perhaps Hunting, ( my observation, most of the girls are off duty WL, I presume) and out to get high or drunk in there, but watch out if they bring escorts of PII chais or thier sponsors there.

saw some mean looking old and young men there too.

enjoy!!
btw Bro SRT, U shd hv been there on Sunday night, hahah our friend Bro Lingwu HAD a greater than expected time playing in sinarkarin .anyway will try to hook up , when i m there again in a couple of months.

What a coincidence...was at Talay on Sunday nite also ard 8pm (after missing Sat morning flight and happy to extend). Loved food and oldies music there.
After that went to Banyan Tree 59th floor Vertigo bar...nice, windy and good view of BKK but otherwise quite cramp. At least 70% farangs. Then to CM2...slow nite with fewer gals and of poorer quality than Wed ladies nite.
Then to pool bar sukhumvit soi 15 which closed at 1am. Then to late nite pool bar at soi 19 (4th floor above Country Road 1). Place supposed to close at 6am in morning but had to close at 3am as police standing waiting outside. Saw 1-2 sweet and good pool puyings.

bro bollocksman...pai seh that nite....only me having kissing action and u all looking . My dancer is super la and she called me last nite to apologise for not answering my call in the afternoon (I promise to call her mah) .

Bro SRT, this place a bit different from Resort and Excellency club la. I went Resort 10 times and go for same dancer but still can't get the same result as I got in sinarkarin. Total damage per person was THB2.5k (open 1 bottle and the dancer drinks too). But anyway, I still want to tackle some hi-so girls la in their hi-so disco. Any plans for this weekend?

Wow, whats the damage like in Banyan Tree, Vertigo??? I've yet to try.. maybe jus go up there for a drink. I heard its a romantic place... If u like Vertigo, u should try Sirocco at State Towers... with ur "tirak" of cos.
You were at Talay Bangkok too? Did u see a handsome man with 3 beautiful ladies chilling at 1 corner on Sunday nite? I was there around 7.30pm till 11pm something... hehehehe
