Re: 164 Days in Singapore Changi Prison
Yo bro, I was there too. Tat time I was in Echo Com. Serve that fucker sgt right. Heard he force water via water pipe down the recruit throat. But the best part is after they clear up the mess at the range, all the SIB, MO, left the range. I was a mess boy to the encik then. Camp 3 some encik asst went back to the range to double check and they found fragments of the flesh, they didn't send to the mortuary. They brought to the beach in tekong and buried there.

that was the turning point of my life. that was when i know i had turned from bad to good. that was the time i grow up, knowing the differences between bad and good. that was also the time i learn to control my anger. how? all thanks to my maths teacher. he shaped me, believing in the good side of me no matter how other teachers always complain to him about me. once, we had a long good talk. he provoked me with his words but he opened up my eyes that no matter what happen in life, i cannot blame someone else for the shits happening in my life. i am responsible for my own future. he told me about how he as a chinese is being oppressed by the malaysia and me, as a malay, should instead fight my way through life in singapore to succeed. Without these teachers, i won't be where i am today. so i am very touchy when there are people criticising teachers. maybe, i am biased because thanks to these teachers, im also a teacher now. kids these days are getting out of hand. parents think they can get away with their child's education just by paying good money(tuition, school, etc). all these kids need are people to show them the right way of life. if being a teacher means i could save another 'me' out there, i would have gladly pay back my dues. sorry to go out of context but many lives have been saved thanks to teachers. i think i could have been to prison if not for them. i had almost enter a gang at a young age. thank god i chicken out that day. so many near misses in my childhood. im soo lucky im not caught. sorry if i'm gonna sound religious. i believe God had saved me back then to save others. |

Re: 164 Days in Singapore Changi Prison
I was in cluster A for 15mth sentence. After 30 days you will settle down. What's so bad about prison? Only limited freedom....The food not bad. Festive days have special meals. Chicken rice not bad chili quite good. Free laundry. Free doctor service. 24Hrs security coverage. Unlimited books to read....
.if you approach it with Zen...it's good break from the madness this world offers....k granted it's not for everyone....some inmates every night cry say miss gf miss wife miss kids miss parents etc....some every night kill snakes haha...some have badge of honours....i met one 82 years old drug addicted uncle it's his 17th time...he toured all sg prison...when asked which one best he said sembawang....because they can even construct swimming pool inside haha... |

Some cannot share because too sensitive and identity will be expose.
Share the last time i was in QRP. Dunno considered heng or sway because of my education level, i was chosen to cannot 'post out' so i served my sentence of 48 months within QRP. I was chosen to be cookie for canning, so all the prep work prior to canning is done by me and my team. It was an eye opening experience though i have never been sentenced to rotan now i know what is involved during canning. Take it as life time experience. Now got another pending case, going in to holiday in cluster B again soon |

Re: 164 Days in Singapore Changi Prison
Dear bro Fireshark,
Nice thread. Thanks for sharing. Read from the start till end. A few Qs i will like to ask: Dental: Let's say if i am inside and i have four wisdom teeths to be taken out. Can i have them taken out? MCs: if i am inside, due to sickness, i have to be on "MC" (not sure of the lingo), will it extend my sentence? To all bros, my two cents opinion: As for the yellow ribbon project, even though its more inclined termed as a failure, but heck, every failures bring you closer to success. It was a good start. Looking at improvements is the key. Which governemnt in the world has taken such intitiative on such a project? (i may be wrong) But that has to come maybe much later as the government has its hands full of more impt matters: GE/Financial Crisis/Aging Population/Low birth Rate/IR. Life is short. May all live their lives the fullest. God bless all. regards, sinner

As for Low Birth Rate, in my opinion, a huge factor is they brought it upon themselves with the Law, ie, times have changed, yet the Women's Charter and related Laws are not updated / changed according to times and the current situation. In fact, you see recently, they are even going to implement more and stricter Laws to protect the women even more, as if they are not protected enough. This is another example of preaching 1 thing, then do another thing, ie, preaching about gender equality, and then with the Women's Charter, is exactly and simply doing another! As for other issues, all Governments in advanced (developed) and advanced developing countries face similar issues. Yet SG Gangmen is the highest paid Govt in the world, higher than the richer and more advanced countries! As the old principle goes, "You take 1 dollar of salary, you have 1 dollar's responsibility". How big is the size of SGP, how large is the population, how many races are there in SG? Msia has similar racial mix and languages, it has much bigger population and land size. US also has many races, not to mention size of land and population. China has much more races, languages (dialects), not to mention land and population size. So when there are problems, don't tell the people that they have many problems, or many other countries also face similar problems and they are still finding a solution, and then at the end of the month, happily and quietly take the highest salary in the world!

Re: 164 Days in Singapore Changi Prison
I very much wonder? Is this country underworld had the mindset of, Yip Mun , "I want to fight 10".
Other countries we see 10 men against 1, here we have loanshark painter who works alone. Collector who collects alone, people are beginning to see this, yes Sir! I think they do. The collector is so confident or, stupid to believe is crime free, so borrower told him to meet up at desert place. He turned up w/o any safetly, they jump on him and take him down. Well typical boss of this country, 10 men jobs save costs, gave to only 1 guy. We wish him all the best, so if my believe are true. Don't join the underworld, there are no future, your boss send you to death. Rather join the army, CD also can and, apply to go Libya and Japan. There are incentives and back pay. Smart people should know the right person. |
