yeahhhhh.... my fren in hcm say people in hcm are speculating a lockdown soon. But i doubt that would happen.
Very conflicting messages from viet govt.
1 say they should stop reporting case numbers as its no longer relevant.
Another says open up for international tourism.
Another says close high risk venues in high risk zones.
Another says govt will move towards covid being endemic......
All these in the same month.

Recently i had friends flew into hcm and told me very simple no fuss...so not sure what is happening....whether Vietnam seriously considering re-opening...

TSN airport not crowded in a video friend took...similar to year 2008 when I started flying in...

If foreigner, what status (type of visitor) did they flew into vietnam as?

Remember to buy travel insurance asap. If any changes from Viet govt, you can claim for travel disruption. If need to activate travel insurance for covid related hospital stay, at least no need to worry about money. AIG is good.

American born Vietnamese... traveling on American passport...flew in to HCM and said no fuss... quarantine 3 days at family home...

Complicated this was booked using vouchers that was from cancelled flights in 2021 which was also booked from earlier vouchers from other cancelled flights in 2020

Think will incur change fees if rebooked now.....

no choice. Change and pay fees better than forfeit.

still no details approved and finalised......
even if last min approved, there is gonna be widespread confusion about the process tomorrow and visitors are gonna face a very tough experience.
