Oh. This is because there is an overhang of people waiting. The supply is only slowly increasing recently. Supply depends on the number "surrendering" their 10 y.o. car. Statistics say supply will keep increasing up to mid 2016 to an estimate 102,000 COEs. Give it a few more months from mid 2016 for the demand to be mopped up. So for me, the best time to go in is Dec 2016 to June 2017.

If it still doesn't fall, don't wait. Other factors may be affecting it, like increased population size. This is one area the PAP govt could have done a better job. They should smoothen out the kinks in supply to keep COE price stable.

They should implement GNSS to collect fucking expensive distance base ERP to the extent that most people avoid driving during peak hour so that could increase COE quota without worry about conjestion

VW reliability is ahem with their 7 speed DCT. Never owned a VW and don't intend to. But I'd definitely get one over a Toyota.

Can solve some problem. But won't solve the entire problem. This country is just not made for 7 million people. LKY already said 5.3 million is max. Any more and we start losing open space. Not enough bus and trains can build more. But roads are difficult to expand. COE growth is now 0%. Keep bringing in more people, guess what that means for us drivers?

Nowadays even non peak afternoons at 2-4pm also jammed. Damn frustrating sia.
