Almost immediately after the fire, a new, bigger, better Tiger(3 floors) was set up diagonally opposite the old one. You can't miss it when walking down Soi Bangla.

The ground level is a pool bar and a gathering of open a-go-go bars(read:barfines), 2nd and 3rd floor pool tables and disco(mostly FL). There is a cover-charge to get into the club, I think THB200 with 1 drink.

I wonder if there are places where I could meet Japanese/ Korean babes? The last I went in Jul 2012, there were many of them but nowhere to be found in the evenings

They disappear because they're all in my room at night.

Actually I don't know, maybe try Hollywood? Banana? The less sleazy clubs in Patong. Or maybe they go up to Bangtao/Surin at Catch Beach Club, Bliss or Xana(but from my experience mostly angmohs).

Why don't you follow them and see where they go in the evenings, then tell us here?

True have to use hotspots. I prefer Thai AIS which can be used countrywide.
Those in town the counter is now located in Robinsons. Bought Ais 3G card include number for 480 baht. Have 1gb and last for a month.
