If one plan to cheong China. The best time is around April and September.But you have to cheong around Shenzen and GuanZhou.That's where the time that this province has the 'Trade show".I always use this excuse to say to look for buyers and look for new opportunity.I will bluff them it's a boring affair to attend this show as it takes two days and no time for shopping.She didn't know i was happily shopping for gals in Cp and CA.

Trade Fairs are the best i.e. Cebit Shanghai, Travel Mart, Canton Fair. Any business u r in, sure have fair one.

Also can go for "investment" opportunity to tour.

maybe u claim to go backpack the silk route ie the Sinkjiang or Heixi Corridor. Not only very siong, living accomdation very jialat. Toilet facilities in non-existant. Most gal will have second thoughts of tagging alone. Furthermore by claiming to go so ulu place, communication such as webcam or skype not available.

Instead fly to guangzhou to enjoy, at night no need to give "sitrep" in a cyber cafe,

Unless you have backpack background and use to travel with backpack. If you suddenly give excuses that you want to go backpack to Xinjiang I think OC will open her eyes big and she might want to take the challenge together with you to Xinjiang, that time you have to packback

There are many universities hostel around Ring 4&5 where the Olympic Bird's Nest is and to access from town to ring 4&5 might be a problem if there is traffice situation so I think many on them will stay with hostel rooms which is very affortable. Many of this universities also take the opportunities to cash in money, so I think if you want to go beijing to during the Olympics season you can also check at these hostel. The room condition might be like those transit hotel standard but acceptable.

As for me, the other time when i wanted to go to China, ( China friends working here invited me to their place and mind you, accomodations and meals all on them ) i told OC that i am going with few business associates to look for business lobang. Of course she heard of the few friends that i am going with but dont even know them loh.( i always mentioned to her who i am doing business dealings with )
Had a wonderful 6 days in China but prepare to get many calls from her!
