Arghhh........
This is bad I thought to myself, how am I going to go out and face Hu?

Never expected this from her, from her tomboy days to now, her being a lady. I opened the window and light up my ciggie, thinking of what should I do when I face her. Even after finishing my ciggie I still could not figure what to do when I face her. Ahhh let me think when that happens. I asked Hi where is Hu since I haven’t seen her all morning.

“She went out early this morning before you wake up saying that her friend needed some help from her. Funny thing is that from what I know all her are working in the morning.” She said with a slight frown on her head.

“Ahhh, maybe she went out to meet her boyfriend lah.” I said as in my mind, it must be because of the incident this morning.

That can’t be, she told me because as far as she knows Hi doesn’t have any boyfriends yet. And Hi will definitely tell her if she has one because as they kept no secrets between them. Hmm, that’s what you think I thought to myself as I felt there is one secret Hi did not tell Hu yet. As I had them I would only be spending a night, Hi asked me what time I will be leaving as she wanted to prepare some of their home made keropok as gift to my parents.

“Err, since I haven’t been here for quite a long time and I had a wonderful stay here. I decided to spend a few more days here lah. That is if your family wouldn’t mind. “I said as I thought to myself of what could happen in this few days.

“Hey, that’s great. You could accompany us as my mum would not be around for a week. I’m sure she would not mind. “She said smiling.

I asked her that I needed to use the phone to call up my mum as my battery is flat. I called my boss instead as I saw Hi walking to the kitchen to clean up the plates.

“Boss, I need to apply for leave lah. Maybe for 5 days or so. I have a family emergency in Malaysia.” I said

“Basket, no wonder unknown caller on my hp. You Ahhh last minute then tell me. What’s up? “Boss asked.

“My cousin in hospital, coma. His husband no longer around, I need to help her settle some issues including the care of my 2 young nieces.” I said

“Oh, aiyah pity those 2 kids. Hopefully your cousin will get better. You try to settle the problem as fast as possible, I need you back ASAP.” He said as I thank him for understanding. I put down the phone with a smile on my face. Went back to Hu’s room, text my mum and gf. Told my mum I wanted to stay here longer and my gf the same thing like what I told my boss.

My uncle came back from the sea at about 11am with quite a number of fish; I heard my uncle informed Hi to keep the fish in the freezer. We exchanged greetings and chatted for a while. “Please lah, when else can I get to drive a Honda. The better ones I get to drive is a Proton Wira which is Pak Angah one apart from my dad old Saga.” Hi pleaded with me.

After ensuring me that she knows how to drive an auto gear car, I passed her the key as I watched anxiously Hi driving out of the compound. Everything looks good so far, I told myself I went back in the house. Since There was nothing much that I can do that day, I went in to Hu’s room to get some power nap tightening my sarong as securely as possible and lie down on Hu’s bed. The fresh smell of a lady’s bed soon knocks me out to a deep slumber. I am a light sleeper when it comes to afternoon nap as I am used to get myself a power nap at work place and will be woken up when I hear someone opening the store room door at my work place. But sleeping on a bed made me a little bit more relaxed as I must have tossed about on the bed causing my sarong to hitch up my leg!

I didn’t know how long I was into my sleep when I felt someone sitting next to me. I was awoken by that action but I kept my eyes closed. She must have thought that I have left for home when she saw that my car was not in the compound of her house. And when she stepped in her room she must have been surprised to see me on her bed. Slowly I dressed myself and walked out of the room to see Hi beaming from ear to ear with her groceries and some packet food in her hands. She was gushing on how well the ride was and I was grumbling of how she cut my dream short, but not out loud just in my mind. She told me she had bought lunch and blah blah blah. “Hu you want to come along? I am going to take Maxxx, Roxx and Shxx for a ride in Axxx car.” Hi said out aloud to Hu who is in Hi’s room.

Part 7

After having lunch, Hi, Hu and I sat at the veranda for a chat. Hi would keep talking about the car and I would be answering all he question Hi has whilst Hu didn’t talk much. “Ermm, Abg would you like a cup of tea?” I heard Hu asking as she stood at the kitchen with that sheepish smile on her face.

“No thanks, I rather have you stripped naked with some mayonnaise topping on you.” I wished I have said that aloud, instead I just nodded my head and smile.

She came back a while later with just a cup of tea and that same smile. The living room chair is those normal 3+1+1 old type of chair, of all the empty single chair , Hu choose to sit on the 3 seater chair that I was sitting on. That’s a positive sign I felt. I stretched my hand and rested my hand wide opened on top of the chair. I moved slightly closer to her, looked her straight in the eyes and told her that she is lucky that they are doing this much earlier not when in the later part of the relationship when she is madly in love with them and will do anything they want. She nodded her head and straight away rested her head on my shoulder. Wah, she wants to get it on with I guess. I placed my fingers on her chin and moved her face towards me.
