Good 3 points earned and most importantly the team has managed to keep some critics quiet for a while.

That having said heavy investment is still needed in the team. A good defensive midfielder will very much help the back four as we saw when Lucas came in.

A good display from Woodburn too. This young man is probably the answer to our left wing issue in years to come.

The critics won't be quiet! Pool was lucky to win! Whole match only 3 shots on target against a team that was awful away from home! Burnely looked more like a team that was playing pressing game! Origi was worst...running around headlessly! Only a better second half display from pool after couthino was taken off! Let's be honest ..$$$$$ 4 also shaky now as two other teams are playing two games less! The table 's standing at the moment is self consolation !

I am not hoping for top 4... as long as above Everton. Top 4 will be bonus, hitting the jackpot.

What is the problem with playing long balls?
Barcelona plays long ball at times and so does Juventus, Bayern and other European teams.
Man Utd played long balls over the years when SAF managed them.
You need to cater and tune your strategy to counter the opposition.
No point playing beautiful passes when you cannot get the ball into the 18 yard box.

Other ppl played long ball and they were champion! Pool played long ball and how often did the ball got into the 18 yards against burnley? Pool played long ball was be coz they were frustrated by a better team! So are you saying pool should play long ball for the rest of the season so that they can win by this strategy? Btw, if you did watch the match, pool was switching back to fluid passing in the second half instead of pumping the ball!

Basically, ran out of idea, just whacked the ball high into the box and hope for the best. If this goes on, Liverpool should get back Benteke and Carroll.

Ah Gong remembered Klopp saying that Liverpool need to try to qualify for Champions League this season . Now that Liverpool is out of all the domestic competitions .
