Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Good overall performance by the Redmen, especially the defence now looks much more balanced and solid, even with Lovren and Allen on the pitch! Credit to both of them who look much improved and more confident.
Big shout out to Jordan Ibe, this lad was really top draw last night! Sakho was a monster once again and Firmino showed off his silky class at times! The high tempo gegenpressing game is slowly coming to fruition but what is worrying is that the Reds still lack that clinical incisive goal strike touch in the final third of the pitch. Hate to say this but I reckon if we had a fit Sturridge on the pitch we probably would have demolished Rubin Kazan by at least 3 or 4 goals. Don't get me wrong, I like Benteke, however with the way we are currently playing, I think it is difficult for him to score as he appears isolated. Also the crossing to him was awful. Anyways still lots of positives. Think Sunday's match against Crystal Palace is going to be massive as the pyschological effect from another win, especially with more than one goal shall cement the confidence in the team. Oh yes must end with what happened on the pitch after the game, i.e. Klopp hugging the lad Jordan and shouting "Ibeeee"...fantastic feeling!! Upwards and onwards Redmen! |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
We had 23 shots yesterday.
Anyway, once again we looked more stable at the back. Lovren played very much differently than he used too under Rodgers. Obviously lacking some creativity and finishing touch. We need to beat Bordeaux at Anfield on 26th.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
The team should not underestimate Palace. They managed to beat Chelsea on the road.
Tottenham only managed to score 1 goal at White Hart Lane when Palace visited. I expect this to be a low scoring match but 3 points are important to edge closer to the teams above us! |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
watched the match this morning.
think DRAW would have been a fair result. but guess Palace showed greater courage n determination to get the win during the last 15 mins or so. again, our defence lost concentration which led to both goals. Klopp has a lot to do to tighten up the defence. we created a lot of chances but lacked finishing. im not so sure if Benteke fits the kind of 20 goal a season striker we are looking for ... what do u guys think?

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I'm very disappointed with the result.
I think the players gave their best but Palace was set-up to frustrate us.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Need quite a few new players in and quite a few sold, far too many passengers in this team.
Mignolet, Moreno, Can and Benteke were dreadful today. Ibe was good first half but poor in the 2nd. Coutinho must be wondering why he even bothers sometimes when he looks at who is playing along side him. Lallana is good for a little trick or flick but he is so predictable and he simply just fails to deliver. Always knew Sakho was our best defender, just hope his injury is nothing serious and he's back in a couple of weeks. Well the honeymoon period for Klopp is over. Guess this is pretty much how the season is going to go for Liverpool, ups and downs, hopefully more of the former and less of the latter. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
It has been 25 years and the fans have been through a roller coaster ride.
When they see a performance similar to the Brendan era, they know it is game over. I feel for Jurgen. Pierre.
