That's why it's always best to have a driver as well. But the problem is finding those trustworthy ones. They will go all out in helping you for such matters, even when the girl does things that should not be done.
I have a different style. I would never hire a driver for all day. I trust drivers less than the girls, and in case of troubles I am used to solve them by myself.
I take ojek or I walk, to go where I want to go. If I go to a joint, I don't want the price be higher because of the commission to the driver. At night, I find my girls in disco or pubs. I never book a girl from a joint, but I do short time on site, if I am in the mood and I am not concerned to spoil my libido for the adventures that I hope to have in the night.
I booked a girl overnight only a couple of times, many years ago. I have always regretted. Once the sex has been done, having this guest in the room limits my freedom, and usually I have little to conversate. A different story is if I find a special one in pub or disco, so special I want to invite her to my room.

We often report taxi and ojek drivers that overcharge foreigners. Long stories have been told about how to pay no more than 30k from HB to Nagoya, using Grab or walking outside the gate, instead of the standard 50k with taxi. (I note that the difference is just 2 SGD, but apparently there are many who believe this is worth the hassle). Standard ojek fare is 10k, but with Gojek one can pay just 6k or 7k.
I am used to pay without negotiating 12k to 15k whenever I take ojek. I keep the small money in my pocket, grouped in folded notes where each set is one ride. I have been scolded here, because I overpay ojek.
I have met countless ojek drivers who have tried to overcharge me (20k or 30k).
Well, last week I met an ojek driver who was so nice, that he insisted to carry me for FREE (because "It is a short ride, Bos")
I have never seen this over the 15 years I have been visiting Batam.
He did not know how to go from Grand Batam Mall to my hotel in Jodoh. I had to show him the way (turn left, turn right, go straight, ...).
At arrival, he looked very thankful to me for my patience, because he was not able to carry me without my instructions ("I am new to Batam, Bos") and insisted to not make me pay ("Free! Free! Short ride!").
As obvious, I put 15k in his hands and I rejected his kind offer. Who works must be paid.

IMHO, the only decent one is Foreplay. For the others, they are good to have a beer, play pool, chat with girls. If you are up to that, just walk around and stop where you see a girl that clicks well with you.

For info in case u don't already know, there is a Gojek pt at GBM lobby 2 - see pic. Very convenient to book grabcar to hotel at jodoh, probably about 20K only. Much safer than ojek and no need to wear oily smelly helmet. Unless u enjoy the thrill.
