I think you also won't find any post from me on HCMC in late 1990s but that doesn't negate the fact that I'd worked in the HCMC office of a sg law firm.

There is a promo for Zest Hotel Batam which includes ferry ticket/s to Harbour Bay via Horizon Ferry from Harbour Front,so i am testing how it can work for me now. I 1st book a room from Zest hotel website w/o breakfast.

In my mind now,i try to fabricate myself and a friend taking up the promotion by Zest with a city tour for 2 pax :

...and the price for the tour package for 2 pax :

Total amount 2 pax will be paying :

1539 499 (tour package for 2) + 289 499 (1 extra room w/o breakfast) = 1828 998 rupiah

Divide by 2 pax = 914 499 rupiah

In the tour package,lunch was included :

So each person will pay 914 499 rupiah which will includes breakfast,lunch and Horizon ferry ride from Harbour Front to Harbor Bay. Thats about S$94.00....

For me to go alone i will have to pay S$48 for Horizon Ferry to Harbour Bay,a hotel room (Zest Hotel) at about 289 499 rupiah,round up to be around S$30. I foot S$78.00.

Difference is S$94.00 - S$78.00 = S$16.00

With extra S$16.00 per pax,i will get a lunch + Batam city day-tour...hehehe...not a bad deal actually. But well,it will be more for Batam 1st timer who wish to go Batam to look look see see,hehehe...

Just a thought only.

That could be one of the many reasons that bros appeared to contribute less info.

Go SKP I use AC Bus.
For exploring further.. I will try to take front seat. And eye open big big make sure i dont miss any MP.
