You are not being silenced. If you want to start your own thread with all that garbage you have been posting, please go ahead.

Those who want to read the stuff can then click on that thread for their daily dose of your wisdom.

Your spam is polluting other threads and it isn't welcome as it's a disruption.

That is categorised as high income if we continue to categorise income levels by quartile. However, in 2014, a family income of $10+k would only put you near the 70th percentile (68.1%). Does this explain why you feel that you are getting less for your money nowadays?

You should ask yourself why your wages have stagnated over time and think about what you can do to be back near the 90th percentile (earning $17500 to $19999 a month). I also think that you might be slightly disadvantaged because of your current family situation (low income per capita due to your parents living with you). While I applaud that you're doing your part as a filial son and taking care of your parents, you have to understand that it does put you in a slightly different position compared to other Singaporeans who don't have to contribute so much to their parents.
You have more or less summed it up.

I can understand external factors like U.S. Quantitative Easing, low interest rates and China. What I cannot understand is instead of putting quotas on employment pass holders, we put quotas on work permit holders. We need workers to sweep our floors, clean tables. Not the $4-12k bracket which locals aspire to after they upgraded, but now find elusive.

So a flood of unrestricted P1, P2 passes jacked up cost of living.

I'm so glad that they were not scholar material otherwise they would do as bad as the current crop of scholars. Of course, LKY didn't get a scholarship to study in UK. He went there with whatever money his parents no longer had. How peculiar.
I love the old guards. They did sterling work. Each a colossus. Wish I could say the same for the current batch. The difference? Ethos and altruism. The old guards were never in it for themselves.

The smilarities among these few people are that they are highly intelligent or academically inclined. If they are born in this time and age, I have no doubt that they are of good scholar material.

I got nothing agianst you. But you even deleted Posts from my own threads with no youtube links.

You deleted my replies to BMW69 to rebut his lies on WP and WP TCs with evidence. That is a kind of silencing. Sad.

Because we try our very best to hire locals as much as possible, I am not very familiar with the different types of passes and what the government is doing to stem the flow of foreign workers. However, I know that Employment Pass holders may seem to "cheaper to employ" at first but are more ruinous in the long run.

It is true that Employment Pass holders command about 20% less than locals (we can pay a PRC $5000 in a managerial role while the local workers under him is earning more than that) but the PRC manager doesn't give two hoots about what's going on under him. They are more easy-going when signing off changes to contractual obligations with outside vendors and customers and try their very best to cheat or embezzle from the company "legally". When they are being investigated internally, they just pat their backsides and F off back to wherever they came from. One or two of them may even come back to Singapore under the employment of another firm. Hence, we have decided on hiring locals as much as possible and only hiring Employment Pass holders when we really can't find locals who fit the job scope.

So hopefully the MNCs out there will realise this soon and stop hiring EP holders. After all, Singapore's most valuable asset is local talent.

I'm sorry bro, I should have made it clearer that I was being sarcastic in that post. LKY went to UK on a scholarship because his parents were too broke to send him at that time. Hence, he was a scholar. Also, I am grateful that the old guards were of scholar material. What they did for Singapore cannot be put down in words.

Oh I see...Thanks for the clarification and my apology for mis-interpreting.
You are absolutely right in what these old guards did for Singapore.

Noted. Be prepared to remain low income all your life since you do not want to find out the root source to your situation.

Actually, it just hit me! The data provided by SingStats comprises of only Pink and Blue IC households. EP holders do not contribute to that data. You get what I'm saying?

Adey! I was wrong about him going to UK on a scholarship, I apologised for my error and I issued an erratum. Of course my statements are self-conflicting. Otherwise there would be no apology to begin with. Can you not comprehend that?
