1 Way Ticket cost Rp.70,000 + Seaport Tax Rp.6000 Batam and Rp.3000 Balai I always buy 1 way ticket because there are few operators and depending on the timing you are coming back from Balai and which operator have ferry service at that time and buy the return 1 way ticket from them. Ferry Schedule, every 1.5 - 2 hours have services, but actual ETD very much depending on occupancy, if boat/ferry is not full or not enough passengers, they can wait for up to 1+ hour to fill the seats. Actual travelling time is about 1.5hours per way, but as I’ve mentioned that waiting time can be up to 1+ hours. Last ferry from Balai is 4pm but they normally ETD around 4.30 for the “usual” practices. Depart Batam at Sekupang Domestic terminal, it’s just next to the International Terminal, Balai only has 1 terminal which is also next to the International.

Re: Batam Info Thread
I like to know if we book from deal.com.sg or Groupon batam return trip to batam & hotel include more worth it?

Re: Batam Info Thread
It depends what deals are they offering.. for example we talking per night room in batam hotel ranging 300k to 400k rupiah that is around 40 to 50 dollars sing. Ferry $48 per round trip include all taxes but for deals or groupon don't include the tax, so u have to pay the tax on top of the price they offer. I hope this helps.

Re: Batam Info Thread
Yup, vouchers from deal.com.sg or Groupon are normally for 2 paxes minimum. Furthermore, there are taxes that you need to pay as well.
For example, this deal currently on deal.com.sg, $59.90 for 1 night stay at Harris Hotel with return ferry, it is not inclusive of $20 + $7 ferry taxes at Habourfront and Batam Centre. So, it's at $87 per person and minimum for 2 persons SHARING 1 room. So, you're looking at $174 minimum and you don't get a room to yourself. This deal is good if you're going with your partner for a short getaway as it include a 1 hour massage as well. But, if you're looking to go for cheong purposes, then it's not so convenient since you will need a room to yourself. A reasonable budget can be booked at about $30 +/-. Of course, you can't compare it to Harris as Harris is a 4 star hotel after all. Ferry cost $45 - $48. So for about $80, you're in Batam and have a room to yourself to have all the fun you want.
