Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Sami Hypia was never a quick or fast player in his entire career but he was a damn good centreback because of his positioning and reading of the game. Jamie Carragher can still be useful if he can change his playing style to play like Sami Hypia.

Wat motivation half time talk u tink tat fat waiter gave.......... NONE!! He was totally blank and speechless all the way from the dugout to the dressing room. It was Ayer Pasteran tat gave the team talk and IT WAS THE FANS TAT MOTIVATED THE TEAM WITH THEIR ROBUST RENDITION OF YOU"LL NEVER WALK ALONE...... the war cry in the dressing room when the players troop out for the 2nd half was "Let's do it for the fans!!"

Enrique: Blame players for poor form March 27, 2012 Jose Enrique insists Liverpool's players must take the brunt of the criticism being levelled @ the Reds & not hide behind manager Kenny Dalglish. Despite winning the Carling Cup & making the FA Cup semi-finals, 5 defeats in the last 6 Premier League matches hv rendered the club's aim of qualifying 4 the Champions League a distant dream. A home defeat by relegation-haunted Wigan on Saturday was the latest disappointment, & Liverpool now trail 4th-placed Tottenham by 13 points with just 8 games remaining. They r also 8 points behind Newcastle, who r 6th. The Reds were booed off aft their defeat by the Latics while Dalglish found his judgement, signings, tactics & suitability 4 the job all questioned. The Scot blamed their 10th defeat of the Premier League season on tiredness but Enrique believes the squad must address the situation. "The manager takes pressure 4 us & of course tat is good,'' the Spaniard said. "But the truth is, when we make mistakes or hv a bad game, we know where the mistakes come fr. "Who plays the games? The players. Who has 2 win them? The players 2. The players r frustrated just the same (as the fans). We hv played good football in many games but against Wigan we didn't deserve 2 win.'' Spaniard Enrique was 1 of 7 summer arrivals & is in the minority having largely escaped criticism of his performances, with Jordan Henderson, Andy Carroll & Stewart Downing bearing the brunt of the flak, largely due 2 their hefty price tags. It has left many questioning Dalglish's transfer choices but left-back Enrique is naturally keen 2 repay Dalglish 4 bringing him 2 Anfield fr Newcastle. "I m really grateful 2 him,'' said the 26-year-old. "Of course I 1 2 do my best 4 the team & 4 Liverpool 1st, but also 4 the manager becos he signed me.'' Enrique thinks the side need more time 2 gel but accepts tat 7th is not good enough 4 a club of Liverpool's standing. Even if Dalglish's side can add 2 their Carling Cup triumph, which ended a 6-year trophy drought, with another piece of silverware, criticism will still remain over their league form. "In the cups we r doing well. Liverpool went many years without winning something & already we hv 1 cup & we r playing 4 another 1,'' he told the club's official website. "In the league I think we deserve more than where we r now but the truth is we r in 7th position. Tis team is in production; the owners hv signed young players. I think we hv a really good squad already but of course we hv 2 improve - every1.'' |

Henderson, enough said.. I really can't recall when was his last true contribution... Adams, where were all the set pieces which suppose to bring us goals went to? Each of his latest freekick/corners were simply flat... I wont pull Carroll in... Kinda unfair since he really sit on bench too long... But end of day we also wish our players come good... I wish that at some point next season, King Kenny has the chance to tell us: "I told you so! I told you they will be good signings for us".... Other than the FA Cup, I have nothing to look forward to except next season... Or at least end the league in a high, winning some games and our dignity...

Maybe I am the only one here, but what does YNWA REALLY mean? To me, this is a serious allegation... I have been a Pool fan for 35 years and this is the first time I ever saw or heard another Pool fan saying this of other fans... I wait to be educated on this....

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
YNWA has been the sign of Liverpool for more than a century now..
It has different meanings through all theses years ..there is NO correct meaning to it and i dare anyone who can tell me what is the TRUE meaning to it except through the Internet or it own personal meaning. As a Liverpool fan, we support the team when they win and express disappoint and criticism when they lose, this way we don't support the club blindly but it's just being practical..expressing disgust doesn't mean wannabe a glory hunter and start supporting other clubs BUT only a true reds does it it seems..and other clubs give it a blind eye even their clubs perform badly consecutively - now that's blind I prolly been to Anfield a dozen times through these years - you just have to imagine how the older folks start screaming at mgrs and players right beside you Now that's a true reds

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Was looking at kenny's post interviews after the last 2 matches n i must say even though i was angry wif him i also felt sad n sorry for him becuz he looked shell shocked n clueless...think kenny has lost the plot n sld gracefully step aside at the end of season...just compare the revival of arsenal's season n the amt of £££ arsene has spent compared to kenny enuff said...frankly i dont care abt the domestic cups anymore...nice silverware to hv but still consolation prizes...i wld take a top 4 epl finish anyday becuz CL footie is of paramount importance...this is liverpool fc we r talking abt not some 2 bit club...no doubt the players need to take responsibility but the manager too cannot run away fm taking responsibility either particularly after spending over 100m quid n selecting the team sheet...also dont think rafa is the answer either...the reds need someone totally new wif fresh ideas...also wld like to know when if ever we r going to finally get a new stadium wif bigger capacity...this is also key to the reds future...finally wld like to say that i shall forever be a reds supporter wherever the reds may be in any league table...but that does not mean that i am not entitled to express my pov regardless of whether it is positive r negative...

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
A bigger stadium will definitely bring us more income as every matches will definitely being us full-house revenue but the owners now will not do that as they are still financing their 2 NfL team which is the biggest sport in US.
The back end shareholders are too political compared to most teams ..hence investors prolly have doubts investing in us. Let us cross fingers and see a better next season.

Yep, looking forward to next season. Hope Merseyside has a great day out for the FA semis. I can believe that Moyes and his men are full of optimism, there's not going to be a better chance for them with Pool low on confidence. I've been impressed with Jelavic, he looks the package. Pool will have to pick themselves up very soon
I'm waiting to see what style of play KD is going to employ this weekend. If it is a more direct style, then I am sure AC will be in the frame. Cmon boys, play for your pride, play for the Liverbird on your chest. You are Liverpool FC! YNWA
