thats precisely the pt i wanna drive into ur numbskull. u keep thinking its different n that they r lower etc. i'd like to think that these gals regardless of their genuine or fake reasons foe taking up the job still r noble.. they still have big hearts n guts. a risk that they willing to take.

n to set the record straight, i've only been comparing apples for apples; some r washington apple, some green apples, some juicy fuji apples, some already juiced bt still apple juice. dunno where it ever came about that i even comparing oranges/grapefruit/ong-lai/putto/mango to apple.

in fact it was some who've misread who've been mixing up the apple crate with other fruits. which started all that confusion.

just to re-cap, for the benefit of those who're lost: the WLs(red apple)/FLs(green apple) carrying thai passport, regardless which province of thailand is still puying thai (apple), some from better background n upbringing (juicier apples), some from less privileded background(less juicy apples), some from tormenting-gut wrenching background (apple juice).... so at the end of the day.. i'm still quite clear that i've only been comparing apples for apples.

as for those other less prefered version of the WLs/FLs who work for pure material covetuosness.. i suppose can be considered (bruised/dented apples) or otherwise prefered as (rotten apple/apple with worm).

To deviate from the title for a while. Some companies pay more, some do pay less. MNCs generally pay more and also depends whether english speaking or additional skills required.

But the range is around there. Nowadays pay for fresh grads also better compared to past

I don't know much about the "average income" of fresh graduates. All I know is that I employed 3 of them, each with a starting salary of 12,000 Baht. They are with me for 2 years over, and they now received 15,000 Baht.

Not to mention the many vocational college grads I know of who are still desparately looking for jobs. One just went all the way to BKK from CR and finally found a job in a departmental store for 4,000฿.

Either you have over or rather under-exerrated the situation, or your scope of work and income of grads in Thailand, is as limited as the people you mixed with there.

Whose fault is it if a fresh grad decides to stay in the village where everyone is a farmer and then complain to say that he/she cannot get a decent job? Whose fault is it if they decides to go to Lumphun where there isn't even a tourist hotel and earn 4,000 to 6,000 Baht when others go to Bangkok where there are hundreds of hotels and got themselves jobs earning 12,000 to 15,000 Baht? Whose fault is it when vocational college grads decides to work in departmental stores for 4,000 Baht when even my uneducated storeman earns 8,000 Baht and my maid in my office earns 6,000 Baht?

I know of a secretary who earns 30,000 Baht after changing jobs for 4 times within 4 years. Why? Because, she bothers to keep looking out for better opportunities.

The point is, either the people you know are much too lazy to better their lives, or they better start mixing with luckier people.... like me or bro singrakthai.

Almost of these gals above had families who had some income, maybe not much but still enough to send them to school all the way to Uni. Some of these poor gals had to resort to other measures to find money for their Uni and for them, it had left a scar in their lives forever.

What about genuinely poor village gal who feels the burden as the eldest daughter in the family, had little or no education and yet faces the stress of seeing her siblings suffer as well, not able to go to school, parents working hard and still not enough to make ends meet? As a responsible young woman, can u understand the burden on her young shoulders?

Again, whose fault is that? If I cannot support 3 kids, I'll make sure that I have only 2 kids. If I cannot support 2 kids, I'll make sure that I have only 1 kid. If I cannot support 1 kid, I'll make sure that I don't have kids. If I cannot support my wife, I'll make sure that I don't marry her. What is there for us to understand the burden she carries as the eldest daughter? Why must we understand the burden that she carries? How come you don't ask us to understand the burden that the parents carries? Or ask the parents to understand the burden that their daughter is carrying?

It is not a wild guess on my part, I have seen a few cases for myself and also felt the strain myself.
