Yeah but since then I heard from my lawyer that it is no longer a requirement to top back up the CPF in cases of losses due to such nature. Dun noe is it really true.

Hi, need some help regarding divorce matters here.

My wife and I have been married for only a little over a year but recently I'm involved with this girl and found out by my wife. My wife is okie with the idea of getting a divorce since our relationship has broken down.

I understand that we've to be married for at least 3 years before getting a divorce. So what is the best plan for us now in regards to getting a mutual divorce?

Sign a deed of seperation now and wait the 3 years out or wait till we fufill our 3 years of marrige then get a divorce? Which is the shorter way? How much will it cost too for a divorce?

Btw, my wife and I has only gone through ROM and no traditionl chinese customories and have not been living together since we got married.

The fastest way for you is to get an annulment.... both of you sumpah you have not consummate the marriage..... pay the notarial officer $30...... pay the lawyer $200-$300 and you both are single again.

Since when not unless you filing for separation or desertion then you have to wait it out but I think if file under adultery or unreasonable behavior, don't have to wait out 3 years. She can proceed to file immediately.

Hi all,

Need some advise, recently my current wife is filing a divorce as I have a fling with this girl for 2+years. She seem to claiming alot from me and now I don't what to do as I needs to reply by 8 days.

She claiming me:-

1) my house
2) Maintainance fee of my 2 children
3) Maintainance for her (my salary is higher than her by less thn S$600)

Can any guys or someone to recommend what I should do,

1) I been thinking of joint custody?
2) Do I need to get a lawyer myself or neg thru her lawyer?

looking at her demands...she must have spoken to a lawyer already
i would advise you to get yourself a lawyer too..

i think mine is a bit complicated.

i am not married but i have a kid.

cos kid mom want to be single mom. yet want my kid to have a father

the birth cert have my name as father. but the kid dun bear my surname.

i paying $300 mthly since birth till now willing although kid mom said no need initially.

i visit my kid once a week although kid mom did not restrict the frequency.

i cannot bring my kid out alone. i have no say for everything.

but kid mom will ask me to pay this and that that related to my kid.

am i liable for child maintainence too?

cos kid mom asking for more now. i thinking should i increase?

can kid mom ask for more money for the kid legally?

can kid mom ask for her own maintainence?

does my kid have the right to fight with my parents my asset or money if i pass away cos i did not have any will?

did i made a mistake to have my name in my kid birth cert?

my life is messed up

i dunno should i start another family in future?

Bro u screwed big time. Thou you are not married to the mom but becos you are the biological father and have been maintaining the kid all these while. I believe legally you are obligated to keep on providing. You heard about the case of the man who was not even the biological father to begin with. Brought the kid up for years and when he finally found out, file for divorce but he still had to keep paying for the kid maintenance. Another case of a man getting screwed big time by the fuck up familee cock judges.

Questions:-
1) Child Maintenance
a) if we do not have any proof that we pay for it regularly, could it be possible to be use as an "loop hole" to haunt us again later?
b) how to secure such proof? note:- no access to the other party bank acct information for Giro/ATM fund transfer arrangement, no communication at all with the other party

2) Access to Kid
a) under agreement, the access to see kid is on Sunday, however when sms to make arrangement, recieve replies with no outcome.. what can / should I do?
