When I reached DG station, instead of walking down to exit, we were all directed to walk up one floor and wah la.. Its CP immigration!. After immigration, as I walked out, i noticed that i am not in the normal CRH area but at the long distance station which is where McD is located. Just next to the CRH.

Actually its the counter specifically for Hong Kong directly BEHIND McDonald's and not above it. After you get the ticket, you go upstairs to the 3rd floor to clear immigration etc and to board the train.
There is also a "City" counter at the Hui Mei Hotel lobby for these tickets at the same price AND you can also ask most of the "business Centers' of your own hotel to get the ticket for you for an extra RMB 2-5 extra. Some guy from the city ticket office on a bicycle will deliver the ticket to your hotel biz center.

Base on HK airport website, if by ferry to DG Humen, its only 70mins. But not sure traveling time from Humen to CP.
And ferry to Shenzhen Shekou only 30mins.

traveling time from humen to cp is about 1hr 30min via bus. cost: 21rmb (bring exact amount, like our sbs bus, drop into coin box when boarding). can alight outside walter hotel or changping qi che zhan.
