The fact of the matter is that many of these Ktv girls are just plain ole lazy and many just skip going to work for extended periods. They have friends to hang with, families to tend to (going back to hometowns will usually entail at least a couple weeks away from work) and too many times when the very nature of their job gets to them - they just will not go back to work. And their expenses, these are just general expenses that most need to spend - excluding the many splurges these girls are wont to engage in; sometimes to lessen the very real emotional pain they endure, but too many times also just because they had a particularly lucrative prior night. Having said the above though, I must still caution you guys about feeling sorry for them or worse - to try to be a knight in shining armour to lift a girl or another from their supposed hell. Lets face it, they make - and spend - way more than what regular girls who work just as hard or even harder at regular jobs, and the fact that these wg's made their own mind to work as such. There is a set price for their services and its a sucker's move to give too much extra. Just my own POV of course SEAJ |

Re: Events In CP
the telephone recharge while 200rmb used is a small number on its own, if we compare this to the normal monthly mobile fees we pay at home and taking the fact that in china the mobile call costs is very low (refer to how much we spend on calls when we are there and extrapolate this to a monthly cost) 200rmb does seem high. the same can be said to every other cost item
my humble opinion only |

Perhaps I should explain that the figures I put up are what the Mommy generalizes from observing the spending and earning habits of her girls. She's an old friend of mine and we were just chatting as friends do. This conversation is of course unlike those she would use on her "sales talk" to the girls - where she'd even claim one of her girls made up to 40 or 50K last month, or to clients - when trying to convince them to sit one of her girls; she'd also inflate numbers to clients just to give the impression that her girl is really hot shit AND....to hopefully discourage her clients from packaging her girls - as that means one less girl in her stable. As far as telephone costs are concerned, they spend quite a bit calling home - which is long distance - but the use of WeChat and QQ has lessened this expense somewhat. But also note that a lot of them do NOT have computers or internet access and as such use their hand sets to get on the line. This racks up the expenses, especially when a lot of them will not sleep when doing overnights, and will just play on their phone whilst her client is asleep. And BTW - just in case anybody interested, the following are the dates of the next Canton Trade Fair: Phase 1 (Oct. 15-19, 2013) Electronics & Household Electrical Appliances Lighting Equipment | Vehicles & Spare Parts Machinery | Hardware & Tools Building Materials | Chemical Products International Pavilion Phase 2 (Oct. 23-27, 2013) Consumer Goods Home Decorations Gifts Phase 3 (Oct. 31-Nov. 4, 2013) Office Supplies, Cases & Bags, and Recreation Products | Food | Textiles & Garments | Shoes | Medicines, Medical Devices SEAJ |

Re: Events In CP
4-8-12 girl.
Going to work every day and with a client each night to either sit or go out with. Bare expenses with no splurges, or any extras: 9 days sitting fee @400 minus 90 Mommy fee = 310 X 9 = 2,790 8 Overnight fee @1,200 minus 190 Mommy fee = 1,010 X 8 = 8,080 8 Short term fee @800 minus 190 Mommy fee = 610 = 4,880 Total 15,750 Rent, utilities = 1,800 Monthly doctor check up = 300 Administration fees and fines to KTV = 400 Clothing = 2,000 Telephone charges = 300 Eating = 30 X 40 = 1,200 Make-up = 15 X 24 = 360 Hair dressing = 15 X 24 = 360 Taxis/Bicycle to go to work = 30 X 24 = 720 Total 7,440 Net 8,310 But I really think that most girls will NOT be able to have such net income every month or even for a full month – they’re mostly too lazy. Re: Events In CP
I shouldn't really comment too much as I don't have enough facts. I will, on my next trip try to get real numbers from where I normally go. If I am lucky, I'll get numbers from my regular and her mommy, plus my friend who owns the hotel. Armed with the most facts I am able to glean from what I am told, I'll try to comment more knowledgeable.
In general, my regular pays 1000 RMB per month for her place and as far as I know, lives alone. Many of the other girls in the KTV share apartments and so that cost is less on a per person basis. Most of them do not go to the hair salon every day, they kind of work together on each other in the KTV's that provide a space good enough to do it in. In my hotel, the hotel owner provides a big room for the girls with couches, big screen TV, makeup tables, mirrors, etc. He tends to keep his girls with the better environment for them. Some of the KTV's waiting rooms for the girls are no better than a broom closet, or so I am told. Their main issue is they cannot handle the money they make and think what they have between their legs is a money factory that will last forever. My POV only. mrclen PS: I'm sorry we did not get to meet each other on my last trip to CP. I hope to rectify that on my next trip. |

Whilst some may be more sensible, others would want to show off materially - just to validate their supposed greater earning power=their greater beauty=their superiority to their peers. And that's where they lose control over their spending. And whilst they may at first be satisfied with living in hovels - which happens to already be way-better than their living conditions at home - soon enough they'll start putting on pressure on themselves to upgrade...just to keep up with the Joneses. And besides which - whats a few hundred more a whole MONTH..."when I can make such just by sitting with a sucker, letting him sniff my nooky all night!" On top of that, they're prone to thinking - "Heck - what's 15 bucks to do my hair. Saves me all the hassle and time which I can spend doing better things (usually..... sleeping .....!! LOL), plus I'll look zillion times better and will have a better chance of getting picked tonight." The same thing with their make-up and also the almost obligatory false eye-lashes - which adds on another 10 to their daily expenses. Thanks for your input. SEAJ |
