Hi There Bros..

Great site and have visited Hanoi on a couple of occasions.
Tough place to find 'what u want', lots of hits and misses, but if you do, its well worth the search.

Will be heading there again...this time my "friend" suggested going with her up to Sapa, it will be her first too....did a web search ....it seems its just trekking, ethnic tribes and markets....great, I love that old world charm about it..anything else there? that will "enhance" the time we have up there

（越南和平法新电）越南三分之一电力来自水力发电，但越南正在经历数十年来最严重的水源短缺情况，导致其电 力供应大受影响。
　　越南北部的和平水力发电站，是靠源于中国的沱江的水来发电，但干旱天气导致沱江水位大降。

　　越南媒体说，当前这场旱灾可能是百年来最严重的，首都河内的气温直逼40摄氏度。

　　和平水力发电公司副董事阮克轼说：“近年旱灾比往常严重，因为中国境内上游水位没有上升。 ”

　　外国商家一直关注越南的电力短缺情况和其他基础设施问题。在越南的欧洲商会上个月就指出：“电力消耗量 以每年15%的速度上升，大大超越了经济成长率。”

　　和平发电站是越南最大的发电设施，它在1994年投入使用，目前越南北部40%以上和全国15%的电力 需求都来自该发电站。

　　不过，这并不足以应付越南的需求。

　　国营越南电力集团（evn）国家负荷调度中心的关德海说，今年1月至5月，越南的能源短缺量达20亿千 瓦时。

　　当局已经在和平发电站上游，建造一个更大的水力发电设施，估计可在2012年全面投入使用 。

　　同时，越南也计划建造4座总发电量可达4000兆瓦的核电站，当局的目标是在2020年，让至少一座核 电站投入使用。
