......not so much of a FR post but just wanna thank bro deptrai for the hospitality when I was in Na Noi a few weeks back.
Was at Ha Noi for about a week and bro deptrai brought us to many places for good food at super cheap prices. The more memorable places are the french loaf breakfast beside Ha Noi hotel, vietnamese lunch beside the river and the best was the snake dinner where we had a whole snake cooked in several dishes. For those with a stronger stomach, there is the snake heart which is still beating for you to swallow. Also included in the meal are copious bottles of vietnamese vodka in which they soak cobra, ginseng, gall, etc. The must try one is the bottle with the snake penis in it and according to the owner of the restaurant, you can "boom boom" 5 times a night after drinking it...  For the exact address, pls pm our beloved bro deptrai as i just follow him. As for enterainments in the evening, we just went for the hj massage and a local KTV as my mate wasnt into comercial sex. KTV was quite good with pretty girls. I was quite luckly that evening and got a pretty and playful girl, but unfortunately i conldnt speak any vietnamese all so all we can do is use just body language.. Anyway bro deptrai, thanks a lot once again. I think I will be going back to vietnam again

Last night I was driving past Lake View Hotel and the night club there looked kinda closed. Can anyone confirm this? I've never been there but always wanted to check it out, but I obviously won't bother if it's closed...
Solace was also raided last time I was there. Boring place with mostly expats anyway. Cong an are sure very active these days. Previously, I used to see som fl "Ladies" at the Nutz (mostly the older type), but I think the guards are chasing them away now. They also no longer let people in through the Nutz entrance after 11.30 or something. You have to use the back door (through the Hotel) now. And they close earlier. At least the stricter enforcment of early closing hours helps Ong gia like me to get some sleep
