I think its futile to ask which version is more authentic but its a matter of your preference of Teochew (Pepper based), Hokkien ( White, black Herbal base) or Kluang Style ( Malaysia's darker Herbal base) and they are all nice in their own right. What separates the stores from good and bad is how they cook the pork ( of course not overcooking or uncooking it) and how 'clean' the innards served are and in some places who serve them, how 'bouncy' the blood curds are to the bite.

All which i have recommended earlier in batam i thought wasnt too bad. At Mickey's and Shuang Hong in Astro Foodcourt

Is it travel going to be with some restrictions? Any news from Singapore or Indo gvt? India announces entry with only PCR negative from 1st Jan. I planed to visit on Jan 2nd for 2 nights le. I booked a hotel by pay later. I need cancel if any news in between.

I just came back from a day trip.

There were no checks for vaccination status on both sides and ICA did not check SG Arrival Card upon return to Singapore.

Likely the version from Malaysia with a darker herbal base or if its fully dark then hokkien version. �� Nevertheless all three versions comes with soy sauce and chopped chillies. The best condiment!

I think Raffles Place MRT (Arcade) have good rates lah. There are many money changers. About 3 or 4 shops on ground floor and many more on second floor.

The rates are displayed so you can take take a 5 min walk to see where best rate. Normally, second floor rate better.
