I want to tell that uncle, " See...Batam sell their curry rice at only about 25k rupiah per plate, you sell yours in Singapore at about S$4/S$5",hehehe...

If you make a trip to mitra raya, please try the curry Rice at mickey mouse bkt stretch. It is located at the last coffeeshop. Their specialtiy is fried shark meat. Personally I like their lou pig intestine and pork belly. It is those melt in mouth type. This it my weekly comfort food.

It’s nice but they are getting stingier. If it’s the Chinese lady boss, she is a little more generous with her portion size (at least for me), but her Indo employee quite ngiao; 1 serving of lor bak only 4 thin slices... But yes, the lor intestines is nice. I like their homemade ngo hiang too...

Hehehe...can make S$1 more, why make S$1 less? Nowaday i know what are the items i am looking for in Batam, hence i can make price comparison.

Example :

Harbour Bay Mall is like a Ghost Town to many...hehehe...

...but i enjoy shopping there for the cheapest stuffs there. And "cheapest" here is a strong word.

Where in Batam can find a fairly good haversack for laptop costing only S$15? Even Sunboss at Citywalk Mall selling the same thing at over S$20,hehehe...how i know? Becos i bought from both places before,hehehe... same type of haversack shown below with USB connector built-in is just another S$2 more (cost S$17).

I have no intention to buy initially, but when i saw it at that price, w/o 2nd thought, i bought 2 of it. And i even have plans to buy more in my future trips.

Peanuts at Bayfront Mall selling at the below S$3.50, S$3.00 and S$3.00...

...but penuin wet market selling at S$3.00, S$2.50 and S$2.50.

So my conclusion is, no matter how expensive Penuin wet market is selling their stuffs, it is probably still cheaper than Touristy area like Airport, Ferry Terminal or Major Batam shopping mall area,hehehe...

Peanut goes well with beer. For someone like me who dont drink and rarely ate peanuts, i find the above photo's peanut that was "cook" with garlic taste nice! And if people like me find it good, i am kind of sure most beer drinkers most likely should find it taste nice too,hehehe...

There should be a few sellers in the online market place that still couldnt get rid of their S$2.50 ferry coupons,hehehe... and do note (notes for my other friends reading as well), online market place CAN bargain down too.

Those coupon were on zero cost to them. Either they "die" burying those coupons with it by the end of Nov or they can at least earn something out of it. And Nov is coming in about 2 weeks time.

I have said that in my past Batam trip summaries before, once i have a booking girl in my room, it also gives me better bargaining power. I simply tells the massage girl, i already have a girl in my room. I come to the MP just for "pure and clean" massage without the intention on taking up any special service but if her price is right, i wouldnt mind taking it up.

Of course what i tell the massage girl/s were all bluffs,hehehe... or the least, the story i cook up above also tells the girls in MP i am NOT a newbie to this place, dont try to "smoke" me.

Wow! S$100 for hotel for 2 nights, that must be at least a 3 star hotel in Batam. With your given details, i could actually analyze out a lot of things. I can imagine you staying in those better quality 2 star hotel, like Lovina Inn, Zest Hotel, Hana Hotel, Hans Inn, Paragon Hotel etc. You probably can even cut further on the overall S$350,hehehe...

2 shops with the best chicken wing in Batam, one in J8 and another in Formosa Hotel Vienna restaurant. Richeese's chicken wing also not bad.

I have not tried MOST chicken wings stalls in Batam tho. However, comparing no less than a dozen of it (including KFC and other fast food restaurant) in Batam, the above mention 3 still best out base on my taste bud.

Huh...when Balai hv cheap tickets...I hv tried asking for Passion card an NTUC card and still no offer discount...one way $33 HBF to Tg Balai and return always pay with my hotel room...

Tks for the chicken wings...I keen to go foodcourt rather than restaurant...the reason why J8 foodcourt fried chciken wings good becos using fresh chicken and not frozen...

too many things to try and will need many trips...partly hardly eat much...
