I need some help as to which 2 hotel i had in mind to book in batam that is a better choice ?
Right now i am very keen to book gideon hotel due to the reviews but saw the location of formosa hotel near the cheonging area. Can someone tell me whether gideon is a better choice or formosa because the reason i wanted gideon is that the hotel is seems to be in a better condition compared to formosa? your help is appreciated ! So is it worth to book formosa due to its near cheong location or gideon?
I am newbie.
Why not try Formosa first, won't go wrong with that, then gideon the next time?
I stayed in Formosa the last time, happy with the place.

If u wanna book online, u can try booking.com as there are some hotels that u can booked without credit cards details. Even if need, normal debit card oso can be used for the hotel bookings. Fyi for booking.com, u only pay after u check out of hotel, no need to pay upfront. Alternatively, u can proceed to KAHA for cheaper hotel rates. Details can be found a few pages away from bro Nono's thread. Hope it helps

if your purpose is for cheong, there's no reason to choose gideon over formosa.. use the nono's map as reference, you can see most of joint is surrounding formosa hotel.. and there are many eating place around too

I am able to understand how you feel becos i was lost before while trying to locate Goldbird too,even asking the ojek couldn't be of much help hence he also lost the chance of earning my "commission" from Goldbird joint...lol
To get to Good bird is simple for me now,so i am going to share how to find Goldbird here.
1st,find Batam Star Hotel which is also beside Lai Lai Hotel.
If you are taking taxi or ojek there,ask them to drop you at Batam Star Hotel ,the name card is already above. According to Bros here,Goldbird is opposite Batam Star which is only half correct. You will never see Goldbird directly opposite Batam Star Hotel or Lai Lai Hotel. What the bro was trying to say was Goldbird is directly OPPOSITE the BUILDING of Batam Star Hotel. So once you locate Batam Star Hotel cross opposite the building and walk in circle around the opposite building OR the building beside it. It won't take you more than 5 mins to circle each building.
Gold bird is at a corner of the building. Worse comes to worse still cannot find? Flash the name card below to any passerby or Batam Star Hotel reception :
Now look at the address of Batam Star Hotel and Gold Bird from my above 2 name card....do you see a similarity?
There are few ways to go to Gold bird :
1. By ojek/taxi,drop at Batam Star Hotel if you don't want then earning the commission when you book a girl.
2. By walking,i attach the map below for your reference from Formosa to Batam Star Hotel :
The walk should not be more than 15mins.
Note : Gold Bird = Sedona
Once you find Gold Bird,you are at Sedona. Do not be afraid to make mistake,as long as you know each mistake cost will only be 30k to 40k rupiah. Meaning if you are lost,just walk to the nearest hotel to grab a taxi.

I was trying to locate sedona/gold bird this afternoon... wow,.. it's really not easy to find..it's like hidden somewhere in the middle of the block.. use batam one hotel and lailai hotel as reference, it's not really helping for the first time. but it will be useful for future markpoint.. Anyway, i find out there's easy way to locate the gold bird..
Let's take the start point from KAHA (opposite harmoni). From Kaha, walk toward Nagoya Hill direction.. You will pass by Jamsostek building, then Sport Massage. After Sport Massage, take first lorong.. walk that lorong all the way down.. you will spot Gold bird at right corner of the block.. Before you reach Gold bird, you will also pass by Batam Star Hotel at right lorong also..
Gideon hotel not bad,stay there last month.only thing is the air-con not cold,there is a food court across the road too,but only thing not near the joint
If you want stay a Gideon hotel is ok but I think you must remember that hotel is a fav hunt for Sporean family, if you don't mind get staring by them. Many old aunties, hunting ground because it is close to market and grocery store. If ok to you no plbm. Farmosa is best place for bro like us, close to the joint and away from gossip aunties talking behind your back. I use to stay at Gideon on business trip, I heard they speak in Hokkien abt guys like us, because they thought I don't understand that language. I was sitting in front of them at the lobby. But the choice is still yours. Have fun bro.
As a newbie to batam, I plan to go on 24th May which is saturday and expected to reach batam at about 6pm.
I understand that I should go earlier on the weekend in order to have more chance for pretty one. but due to schedule constraint, I can only reach at this late timing.
So I need all of u senior's advice that whether it is really zero chance for me to pick a pretty one at this late timing(6pm)?
Is there any way I can preview from online and book the girl in advance to avoid disappoinment?
